Snowy Owl - Nyctea scnadiaca

Range: Into the arctic circle and northern europe, always lives above the tree line.
Conservation Status: Stable population.
Habitat: Arctic tundra
Diet: Mammals to the size of an Arctic Fox and birds to the size of a goose.
Other Information: Snowy Owls are ferocious predators and very capable hunters. They rely on their eyes when hunting unlike most other owls which rely on specialised hearing. The male is completely white whereas adult females and juveniles are blotched black and white.
